So I re-imagined the leopard look by exploding and abstracting the elegant rosettes in this updated sporty gown with a clean racer-cut that evokes the sleek slinky lines of the world's most endangered big cat."

"Our three-piece look is inspired by the unique silhouette of the Bactrian camel. This outfit incorporates the identifiable form of the camel through the hump-shaped curve of the jacket and shirt and the knobly legs of the pants. The neutral color palate and texture of the fringe are also characteristic of the Bactrian camel's fur; furthermore, the look is layered, which is characteristic of the dress of desert dwellers, while remaining modern and laid-back."

"Not only does the purple frog don a royal color, but it is part of a 130 million year old lineage, making it pretty much a frog prince. The purple frog spends most of its time underground in Kerala, India, getting slimy in the soil. It's rich eggplant color, shiny wet skin, and round shape inspired my draped wrap dress for Gabby."

"My design is an ode to the manner of the Ganges River Dolphin's survival. Unlike the dolphins we are accustomed to seeing in the open water and Sea World, the Ganges River Dolphin is very unique in that he is not that pretty, but most astonishingly, he is blind which forced me to contemplate how he fed himself. I was intrigued to read that he hunts for his food by swimming sideways using one fin to touch the bottom of the muddy Ganges river as a guide. This method of swimming is what made me decide on a one sleeve dress using a very lightweight organic cotton knit that is muddy in color. Moreover, the organic flow of the dress mimics the ripples in the shallow water they inhabit. For contrast, I incorporated an aqua color water-proof underlay which is made of stretch lycra, similar to a bathing suit. My design is a bohemian elegance meant to be worn with ease and fluidity."

But if you look closely, as I did, you might be intrigued by the salamander's beautifully patterned coral skin, which I reinterpreted in this sporty gown for Gabby."

"The red panda's sumptuous fur in rust, brown, and cream colors was the inspiration for this sassy dress and scarf I designed for Gabby. The striped scarf on the outfit swings around like the red panda's fluffy tail, which has become a tragic target for poachers and furriers in China and Southeast Asia."

"The lines of the majestic morpho inspired this long dress. In its portrayal of a single torn iridescent aqua wing, the outfit represents the butterfly's suffering due to the deforestation of its home in tropical forests."

"I chose the Rondo Dwarf Galago as my endangered species, because not only was it cute and cuddly and the tiniest of creatures, that desperately needs our help to survive and thrive once again , but strangely it reminds me of my rescue dog Oscar. I created a flowy, pleated sundress to represent the climate of Tanzania, the region the Rondo Dwarf Galago habitats in East Africa. I found a Beautiful Printed Italian silk that so emodied every aspect of this adorable animal. With brown and black brush strokes on the softest of silks, I pictured the Galago's soft fur. The bold orange color reminds me of its large round orange eyes peering from the dark and the greyish blue strokes represents the soft underbelly."

"The Kakapo parrot not only looks like a kiwi, but she is a Kiwi! This New Zealand-inhabiting bird is the only flightless parrot but has stunning fringe-like feathers. This inspired a Kakapo design for Gabby that evokes those ombre lime and black feathers with thin tassels on a one-sleeved cape dress."

"I was taken with the very thin stripes on the Sumatran tiger's fur when designing this sensual saffron dress for Gabby. The Sumatran tiger is my favorite species of all the ones Gabby is working with, and I was touched by the fact that there are only 300 left in the wild."

"The red wolf is actually really a flat-out ginger, as his name may imply, but his coloration includes a variety of cinnamon, auburn, and tawny shades. This look for Gabby, rendered in those hues, evokes the speed, strength, and agility of the red wolf, a deeply endangered species living in the USA."
